4.       If you live in area where there has been an outbreak of dog flu, or your pet often comes into close contact with other dogs, it might be a good idea to get him vaccinated. The vaccine does not necessarily prevent the flu but will make it less severe.

5.       Prevention is better than cure. Since flu viruses are extremely good at adapting themselves to new environments, it becomes necessary that you keep your pooch well-guarded so that the virus does not attack him.
